Lead source tracking makes it possible to keep track of the source of the leads which are registering via your iHomefinder IDX pages. This is made possible through the use of a simple tracking code which is appended to any of the IDX page links for your iHomefinder account.

This feature may be enabled on your account at no additional charge. Simply contact support@southernwebgroup.com with a request to enable lead source tracking on your account.

Adding Tracking Code to Links

Inside of the Client Administration area for your iHomefinder account, click on the 'Help' link at the top of the page.

Next click on the 'What Links Do I Use?' link which is provided on the left side of the page. This will take you to the list of IDX page links which you may use on your website, or which other websites may link to.

After you've done this you will see a list of the various pages you may use to integrate the iHomefinder IDX with your website. Click on the 'MLS Search' link, and this will cause the IDX search page to popup into a new window or tab in your web browser.

Go to this window or tab, and then copy the URL address inside of the Address Bar of your web browser. You can usually accomplish this by clicking in the address bar and then pressing CTRL + A, and then CTRL + C. Optionally you can select the entire address, right-click on the address, and then click on 'Copy'.

For our example the MLS Search link is:

Next decide what tracking code you will use for the source you are providing the link to. For our example we're going to imagine that we're providing this link on our Facebook profile, so we'll use the tracking code 'facebook'. To add the tracking code we are adding '&fe=facebook' to the IDX page URL like so:

http://ihomefinder.idxre.com/idx/searchMap.cfm?cid=40772&fe=facebook

As soon as a lead uses the link to visit the IDX page, and performs any sort of registration action (i.e. requesting more information on a listing, scheduling a showing, etc.), the lead will be shown in the Client Administration area under Clients -> Manage Subscribers, or Clients -> Website Leads, with the lead source tracking code included.
